i'm really happy with it. with such a major purchase, i have often felt that afterwards, something better usually comes along and makes you second guess your decision.

this has not happened yet. i really like this car. my old car was a '96 grand am SE (sucky edition). it had 224,000 kms on it - 120,000 of which were put on by me.

when my wife and I saw the Protege at the Mazda stealership, we noticed the price tag was $700 less than the price advertised. they stuck to the tag price even though it was a mistake. we were the first people to test drive the car as it had only been on the lot for a few hours.

we found this car with low mileage - only 34,500 kms and 1 previous owner. i think have put on a few thousand kms so far.

anyway that's all i had to say. i really like this car and wondered if anyone else likes this type of car. i feel like doing stuff to it but i'm kinda broke.

I always liked how the older "Mazda 3" / Protege looks, especially the hatchback. Not that the new one is god awful, but I think the previous gen is cleaner and more elegant.

I agree, I like the new style too.

The one I bought is the old style sedan though. Good thing it is an ES with all the options
