I want to buy a 1gig chip somewhere. A friend of mine told me to buy this:

I am unsure if this will work because it is 400mhz speed the the ram that came with the lappy is 533mhz.
Can i put a 400mhz chip into a comp that is built for 533mhz?
Is there a big diference between 400mhz and 533mhz?
When i buy my 1gig chip, can i keep the 256mb chip in there too and run 1256mb ram?
If my choices are wrong i would love for someone to find me a good 1gig ram chip that would fit my computer. I just have no idea what to look for. So many little options.
I do not have much experience with hardware so any help would be very apprecieted.
