I booked a plane ticket and it cost $2509.42

I'm just looking at my visa statement online and a posting of $101.80 was made from the travel agency.

Do you think they cgarged me the wrong amount? Or do you think it's some kida of extra charge? They never mentioned any extra charges or anything that came to this amount before taxes.

If it's listed as a temporary charge, then it is probably nothing more than the travel agency validating your card is legit.

I'm just gonna wait and see what happens.

I booked and paid for the ticket on May 13.

If I get another charge adds up to $2509.42 then I'll just be fine. If I get another charge that is for the cost of the original ticket, I'm gonna raise hell.

If no other charges, I'll just sing and do a jig.

trans pacific flights are expensive. i did it twice. i assume you're flying singapore, that is an excellent airline. not first class all the way through but their economy 'class' is pretty damn nice.

I'm pretty excited. My uncle has told me good things about Singapore airlines.

Just came back from India via Singapore and Tokyo into LA. My ticket cost USD 1075 from LA to Chennai, India. Singapore Airlines is definitely one of the best. I love the in-seat entertainment - played Super Tennis and watched The Butterfly Effect, Along Came Polly, 21 grams and Cold Mountain from the on-demand movies 🙂 I usually go trans-Atlantic on Lufthansa which is also a very reliable airline and is a Star Alliance partner with SA.

Isn't Yemen an arab state? That might make for an awkward Christmas celibration.

However, Yemen has a reputation for treating its hostages well. There are reports of foreigners being kidnapped and coming out with pretty gifts, like watches, and a hug. Well, maybe not the hug. 🙂

...and I thought flying to India from the US was expensive.. cheapest I ever got was $ 1040 round trip; 3 yrs ago 🙁

I hope that's not just your ticket? If so, you really need to find a new travel agent ASAP cause you got ripped off.
