Well, I put two Seagate 20Gb hard drives into my KK266 and accidently had them set as master (both of them). Now they are blank, except for a Recycled folder. The one I want recoverd says out of 19Gb 17.1Gb is used, although it only has a Recycled folder. I really need the data off it, any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Pulpp, I am worried that running a scandisk could damage it further...thanks for your help anyway.

That sucks. I actually did this once, set two drives both to master, and then when I realized that that was why they weren't detecting, I just set them back to master and slave and they both worked fine. I think there's a Norton utility for data recovery, you could try that out.

i don't have any suggestios for this, however, you should try another forum section, such as troubleshooting. This is the off topic foum, and we usually do not discuss computer related problems.
