msdtc is Microsoft's distributed transaction coordinator...
...also, you could disable the MSDTC service (I have it disabled on my computer and chances are you are not going to need it) one of two ways...
go to start menu->run->and either type in net stop msdtc or type command and then type net stop msdtc at the command prompt. it will tell you that the service has been stopped (and probably disappear quickly if done from run instead of the command prompt)...
...or go to start menu->programs->administrative tools (this folder might not be there by default*)->services-> find distributed transaction coordinator, double click to show its properties. you can disable or select manual start as well as stop the service here. (this is how you kill the app running, as it won't let you stop a "windows service" via the task manager.
* if the admin tools folder isn't there, you can right click on the start menu and select properties->customize button->advanced tab->scroll down to the bottom and select to show the administrative tools in the programs folder (the middle option)

yeah, I got rid of it, but my logs said that someone activated it a few hours (almost 2 days) ago.
I know its not a virus, but it was used as one (to a certain degree) but it wasn't serious, just very frustrating
I had to block his IP address before I turned it off, since he sent me data packages every hour or so...
