I am very curious..how does this admin count total Iraqi War deaths

Does it include soldiers who died 2 or 3 weeks later due to their wounds or only those that died immediately on the battlefield?

Does it include those who died due to friendly fire and who died in training accidents?

My guesss is better body armor and treatment. The ceramic inserts for the vest are quite effective.
