The cheaper AIB cards lack this, but it doesn't seem to matter much, maybe runs 1-2C warmer. They are all similar performance-wise.They are all about the same for the most part. Pick the one you can get easily, and you'll be happy. FE isn't easy to get. Just don't buy the MSI Windforce since it doesn't have a vapor chamber.
MSI Suprim and ASUS Strix have the best air coolers. PNY also did a great job. That being said, if getting the quietest possible card doesn't matter, you can just buy pretty much anything. The title says it all. I have no idea what to get.
You mean Gigabyte Windforce? MSI doesnt have one . Agree with above poster, MSI Suprim or Asus Strix. They may be a little higher in price, but when you're going for a 4090 may as well get the best. They are all about the same for the most part. Pick the one you can get easily, and you'll be happy. I was thinking gaming trio from MSI. Not sure why my brain typed out Windforce. You mean Gigabyte Windforce? MSI doesnt have one . Agree with above poster, MSI Suprim or Asus Strix. They may be a little higher in price, but when you're going for a 4090 may as well get the best.
I know these are very different cards but I fold with a Zotac 1060 6GB and a 1660 for almost 3 years now with zero issues from the cards.Asus Strix i believe is probably the best for CONUS.
Im like MEH when it comes to MSI, but Suprim X is probably on par with STRIX, however i think STRIX uses better components, sometimes having better power regulation then eVGA FTW series.
I would not EVER get a Gigabyte.
They are all utter garbage. Ive heard too many failing.
Id also avoid Zotac since you'll most likely be folding, and Zotac is not well known for endurance.
Its gonna be a play on YMMV.I know these are very different cards but I fold with a Zotac 1060 6GB and a 1660 for almost 3 years now with zero issues from the cards.
I have the same card and apart from their quirky argb software the card runs cool and fast with no coil whineThey are all about the same for the most part. I like my Gigabyte OC. Runs nice and cool. GB offers a four-year warranty with registration if that matters to you.
Is it the AIO? I hope the 40 series improves, but with Ampere Gigabyte had some pretty huge issues with their Waterforce cards. Some models had copper blocks, but some including the custom Waterforce cards had aluminum blocks which is completely ridiculous. You can get away with aluminum in a AIO with an Al rad, but to use nickel plated aluminum in a custom WC card is just a disaster waiting to happen. There is also the Gigabyte Waterforce card, but there is surprisingly little coverage of it and none of the major youtubers have reviewed it. It's pretty rare and expensive. Does anyone here have it? I wonder how it compares to the MSI Liquid card.
Apparently, it's crap: https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/yzmb1xI wonder how it compares to the MSI Liquid card.
That looks bad, especially since it's one of the most expensive models.Apparently, it's crap: https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/yzmb1x
Gigabyte has the worst endurance rating.I have a Gigabyte
PNY being worse than FE and Zotac, do you have experience with them? Their Revel card user reviews seemed to paint a good picture of their cooling effectiveness. That's why I got a PNY Revel 3080 10GB on sale. But when I went to sell it due to losing confidence in the low VRAM, the shopkeepers treated it like a junk brand. I sold it at HALF the price I got it for and it was NIB.I would much rather recommend ASUS ROG/STRIX = MSI Suprim > ASUS TUF = MSI Trio > Zotac AMP > NVIDIA OEM >> PNY > Gigabyte at the end.
