6 week old daughter refuses to sleep or let her dear parents sleep at night. What to do?

Threaten her with grounding

I do that to my 4 & 6 YOs. It works wonders.

Last time I threatened grounding My 6 YO was playing BLUR on the PC and it had blue-screened a few times at launch. When it actually launched correctly my son says out loud. "I'm glad it worked or I would have been pissed". Now that I think about it; my son and wife should be grounded.

I am trying to avoid that. Separate bedrooms for the time being is looking mighty appealing right now.

Then who would be doing the parenting, if you get a separate bedroom to sleep in? That doesn't sound exactly fair to the other parent.

Separate bedrooms was actually my wife's idea. She knows I will not be able to function at work on 3 hours sleep.

My kid didn't sleep. 9 months of hell. I was ready to put him back where he came from and file for divorce.

Luck.

We did the separate sleeping for a while. Divided up who is responsible for when. Times I wasn't responsible I left and slept elsewhere in the house. That way only the on-call parent is missing sleep and the other parent could snooze guilt free. Otherwise neither of us would have gotten any rest.

we did separate rooms on work nights since my wife's stay at home mom. rice cereal worked a little but we just had to wait until she was 4-6 months before she started sleeping longer. good luck, it gets better.

Triple sheet rock the room that brat is in and get a solid core door. Barrier loading. Everyone knows this.

Seriously patience bro. The baby will get used to y'all sleeping schedule. Key is don't attend to the baby. Seems mean but it works after a couple weeks.

<3 boys all hellions like that.
