Hi there. I am now in the market for a good case for my computer and I am thinking of getting the Antec P180. I can get it locally for a good price. It's on sale here. I like the case but have a couple concerns.

Can this case fit a 8800 GTX?

Can it fit a Seasonic 700 Watt Power Supply?

I noticed some of the hard drive bays in the case are sideways, vertical instead of horizontal. Totally a noob question :) but is it ok to place hard drives vertically? Sorry for asking such a noob question but it has been a while for me buying a new case and this is the first I have seen of this design. So it doesn't hurt the Hard Drives or cause any issues to have them in those drives vertically?

Take a look here for pictures of the vertical hard drive bay.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/...0+Silver+Computer+Case

Notice how the bottom Hard Drive bay places the Hard Drives Vertical instead of horizontal?

So I take it this is ok to do and causes no performance problems or anything?

Also would this case efficiently cool a 8800GTX and a core2duo system that is not overclocked? I can get a really good deal on this case locally.

Thanks for the help and sorry for the noob questions. :)

Looks a bit tight if you have hard drives in the upper bays. The card goes over the edge of the board and then there's the pcie power cords adding to the length. Maybe someone with experience could tell better :D

The P180/182 fit a GTX just fine depending on your motherboard it may block some ports though.
Edit you'll need to mount a 120mm fan in the top bays intake area to help w/ cooling something like the GTX but otherwise it should be fine, I ran an 8800GTS w/ plenty of extra clearance even w/ the PCI-E connector going out the back instead of at the top edge of the board, GTX is a bit longer than the GTS + PCI-E connector but still should have enough space

The P180 is a superb case; I've had mine for more than a year now and couldn't be happier.

I'm assuming you're talking about this 700W Seasonic? It will fit and you'll still get to keep/use the 120mm fan in the PS/HD chamber. A standard-length ATX power supply (Like the Seasonic I linked to) will fit w/no problem. Extended length PS's (like the 1000W monster supplies out there) will fit but will require the removal of that lower 120mm fan, which is not a good thing. That lower fan cools the hard drive(s) in the lower chamber. Relying only on the fan in the PS to pull air over the hard drives and cool the PS is not a good idea.

There is no problem with mounting hard drives vertically; servers have had them that way for decades. :)

A 8800GTX will fit BUT, depending on the length of the PCI-E power connector, you might not be able to have a hard drive in the lower half of the upper hard-drive cage. The way the case is setup is that right where the PCI-E power plug fits into the card, that space is dead-even with where a hard drive would be in the lower half of the upper cage.

This is not a problem as the lower hard drive cage fits FOUR HDs and you can still put one more HD in the upper half of the upper cage. :)

The P180 is one of the best cases out there, IMO. It offers good cooling when it's quiet (fans on Low/Med) and great cooling if you crank the fans to High.

It takes a little while longer to run cables in the P180 due to the cases' design, but after the system is built, it's built.

Very happy with mine. Good luck.
