yeah i've gotten burns on the shifter knob metal strip too. and the metal around the bottom of the shifter (i've got an 05 with the metal).

I wonder about that too. Why are manhole covers so hot that they can cause physical injury? That's definitely not right, and I tend to agree with the girl in the lawsuit.
