After all that waiting the R600 is out... now that its out there really isn't anything to wait on.

Well after looking at its crossfire performance, 3dmark 06 numbers and Rainbow Six benchies... perhaps drivers could do the trick.

since you already have a 8800GTX, you never have really have anything to wait on but the DX10 games

All I'm waiting on now is some price drop so I can finally retire my 1900XT to the HTPC

what do you want ?

get a 2nd GTX and another bigger display

then crank up the max resolution with the most demanding games

... and post some benchmarks

haha no it was just exciting to see what ATi would come up. Even if I wasn't in the market for it, I wanted the card to better my 8800GTX by at least 15-20%. The past few days have been the culmination of the slow build up. Suddenly there were tons of hardware sites to vist and plenty of juicy stuff to read. Unfortunately it was all anti climatic.

Yea I've exhausted all my gaming options now. I am always going through Oblivion and have recently started Jade Empire. Hey is the Company of Heroes DX10 patch out? Surprisingly for once, the PC scene has been really dry on shooters. Well UT3 should solve that.

I still think the R600 has the potential to be a winner with the right drivers.

I think anyone who wants competitive pricing is hoping that you are correct. When Crysis comes out, I'll be building a computer for it, which means that I'll likely be using whatever the best next-gen card is. Ati needs to come up with something better so I'm not spending $1,000 on a single top of the line GPU..
