This riddle should be good for about 30mins to an hour.

There are 5 houses in 5 different colors. In each house lives a person with a different nationality. The 5 owners drink a certain type of beverage, smoke a certain brand of cigar, and keep a certain pet. No owners have the same pet, smoke the same brand of cigar, or drink the same beverage.

The question is: Who owns the fish?

Hints:

* The Brit lives in the red house.
* The Swede keeps dogs as pets.
* The Dane drinks tea.
* The green house is on the left of the white house.
* The green homeowner drinks coffee.
* The person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds.
* The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill.
* The man living in the center house drinks milk.
* The Norwegian lives in the first house.
* The man who smokes Blend lives next to the one who keeps cats.
* The man who keeps the horse lives next to the man who smokes Dunhill.
* The owner who smokes Bluemaster drinks beer.
* The German smokes prince.
* The Norwegian lives next to the blue house.
* The man who smokes Blend has a neighbor who drinks water.

Einstein wrote this riddle early during the 19th century. He said 98% of the world could not solve it. Its not hard, you just need to pay attention and be patient.

Albert Einstein wasn't alive early during the 19th century.

I pulled the riddle text directly from Wikipedia but I believe you are wrong. According to Wikipedia he lived March 14, 1879 ? April 18, 1955. I read he wrote the riddle as a youngster.

19th century = 1800 - 1899.

And the claim at the end of a riddle is textbook internet bullshit rumor anyhow.

it really wasn't that hard, rofl...

Why couldn't you just make a grid and x off the eliminated answers until you get all of them? They taught us how to do that back in like...5th grade...

Try it and see. You have to use a lot of deductive reasoning.

I never said it was hard. I just said it was a fun way to blow through 30 mins.

ditto, 8:00 can't come soon enough. We were actually busier today than Christmas Eve so that at least sped the day up to a point. Now it is dragging.

For those of you at work, what are you doing to fill your time besides working?

revolver, bullet, spin barrel, point revolver at <your head/coworker/bird on a wire out the window>, pull said trigger
