No work coming in and I'm tired of surfing the net so I thought I'd create a worthless thread here.

For those of you at work, what are you doing to fill your time besides working?

Lurking on a couple forums, Fark, just surfing in general. Can't do much more than that while the boss's are around.

I'm debating right now whether I should eat a regular candy cane or a cherry-flavored candy cane. *sigh*

In other news, I just got home with my new cell phone! I'm going to spend the rest of the day playing with every possible menu and setting. Definitely going to avoid reading the instructions, though...

edit: yeah, also bored.

This riddle should be good for about 30mins to an hour.

There are 5 houses in 5 different colors. In each house lives a person with a different nationality. The 5 owners drink a certain type of beverage, smoke a certain brand of cigar, and keep a certain pet. No owners have the same pet, smoke the same brand of cigar, or drink the same beverage.

The question is: Who owns the fish?

Hints:

* The Brit lives in the red house.
* The Swede keeps dogs as pets.
* The Dane drinks tea.
* The green house is on the left of the white house.
* The green homeowner drinks coffee.
* The person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds.
* The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill.
* The man living in the center house drinks milk.
* The Norwegian lives in the first house.
* The man who smokes Blend lives next to the one who keeps cats.
* The man who keeps the horse lives next to the man who smokes Dunhill.
* The owner who smokes Bluemaster drinks beer.
* The German smokes prince.
* The Norwegian lives next to the blue house.
* The man who smokes Blend has a neighbor who drinks water.

Einstein wrote this riddle early during the 19th century. He said 98% of the world could not solve it. Its not hard, you just need to pay attention and be patient.

Albert Einstein wasn't alive early during the 19th century.

I pulled the riddle text directly from Wikipedia but I believe you are wrong. According to Wikipedia he lived March 14, 1879 ? April 18, 1955. I read he wrote the riddle as a youngster.

19th century = 1800 - 1899.

And the claim at the end of a riddle is textbook internet bullshit rumor anyhow.

I'm playing Company of Heroes again. we're learning about the material in history and it's interesting to play the game at same time. must be one of the few strategy games that are actually completely historically accurate.
