I'm about 99% sure we are going to have to put my dog to sleep tonight
Yesterday he was very VERY lethargic and basically wouldn't eat or hardly drink either, and he seemed like a ragdoll as far as his reactions. Then it looked like he crapped in the house, but it was like diarehea (sp?) and looked a wierd color. So this morning when I wake up I am the only one home and my mom left for woirk already. I couldn't find my dog either. And I saw a wierd looking puddle of something, but it looked just like liquid diarehea, but with no solids in it at all. However when I was cleaning it up, it did not smell like crap ... it had a wierd odor to it, so I don't even know what it is. And I eventually found him and he was just lying in a closet kinda of shaking and would hardly respond to me. He sometimes would get up and walk like 2 steps, then lie back down.
I just got back from the gym, gone for about an hour and 45 mins, and I came home and he's behind the couch just shaking a little bit and hardly responding still. I think it's his time to go.
He is 14 years old and is a little maltese. I am 22 now and have had him since I was 8. I am so sad now and this week I have my finals, not to mention a term paper due tomorrow. And my last final I need to do well on or else I won't even graduate. This is not the greatest week for me to deal with all this. I am so sad right now and I really don't want to say goodbye to him ...
