Here I am in MA....12 degree weather.....just trying to get through work....paying for a crappy sub.....

My gf is in FL...80 degree weather...on a cruise to Mexico...all expenses paid (including booze) by her company.


There was this point in my youth when I went, "I never want to be a software engineer and work for a software company!"...so many things I wish i could change in my youth🙁

About a mile down the road from my apt. Her stuff is out. She is happy, I am happy...it is all good.
 
This is exactly why the economy is down, some people just hate working- they want a royal treatment with all sorts of company benefits in exchange for a deskjob that burns 5 calories a day.

I know...her company gets so many perks (as do other software companies), but hers is wow. I can only imagine how it is to be an engineer at that place. She tells me that they only work 2 hours a day and play pool all day. 😛 I just tell her to suck it up and feel bad for me. I am an engineer that went to a legit engineering school and i have to work the whole 40 hours.😉
