I would think there would be some sort of new treatment aside from the ancient solutions they have around still (rogaine etc) ...

I started thinning / receding probably around 20, 28 in a week or so, it slowly gets worse but I've been shaving my head down to a #2/#1 for the last 5 years anyway. Grew a beard and could careless. If a cure came along sure I'd be intrigued but for now oh well life goes on...

My grandpa on both sides lost theirs, all my uncles on my mom's side are same, my dad & his bro still got all theirs for the most part.

Just luck of the draw I guess, my bro is 2 years older and he still has 90% of his. I'm the lucky one!

Rogaine is far from an ancient solution.
And they do have new treatments like transplants and stuff.

I have have no bold spots, yet I still do my head with #0 clipper all the way around.

I simply hate hair styles or maintenance associated with it. I've been doing this for over 15 years now.

Saves a bunch of money too.

So yeah, going bold is a none issue for me...

Now that I am old and crotchety, nobody cares if I am bald or not. Maybe my wife, but she has to put up with me.

because it would be super depressing if i did D:

but with 4 great grandpas with full hair in their 80s i think i am safe :awe:

But just think about it for a minute...way back in history, someone had to be the first one to go bald...it might be your turn on the evolution wheel...

When the kid was about 4, I'm getting him up in the morning, he pats my "forehead" and says, "A lot of skin there, Daddy."

Cheeky bastard.
LOLed hard. You should have asked him how he would like to live in a cardboard box under a bridge from now on. :D

hair transplants work well though.. you can take your neck hair and put it where you want it... its a win win.

im surprised it hasn't gotten cheaper. its like 10-20k to do a noticeable job. you can completely change your hairline.. which is pretty crazy.

im 30 and I lost my temples at like 23, but otherwise its holding strong. i can tell though that stress does cause my hairline to thin out, and it will actually thicken back if i take things easy for a few months. itll also start greying a little... you see the shimmer... stress is a bitch, and i refuse to let money give me more stress.

All of you hair-keepers just suck :|

Anyway, I accept my thinning hair. Since we no longer need hair for warmth, I consider myself more evolved that all of you.

Started balding by late teens, bald by 23 or so. 26 now with no real hair to speak of up top.

Shaved head ftw

I started going bald when I was sixteen. By the time I was 25 I had less hair than every male relative in their eighties that I know or have seen a picture of. Last time I grew my hair out (28 or so) I had the worst hairline imaginable. It's like male pattern baldness except the hair in the front middle is assymetrical and very thin. There's really nothing I can do but keep it very short or shave it off entirely.

I'm fighting the good fight up there. It's thin but I still have some :)

It's not so bad. The worst part (if you choose that route) is shaving all the time. I've been told I have a good head for it, whatever that means.

I love my hair! But I freak out whenever there's a single white hair in the mix.

If you are showing signs of balding, get a script for propecia. It does work but also has some side effects (decreased libido to possible erectile dysfunction).

I still don't know if I will, I could go completely bald or just have a receded hairline depending on which family side influenced me the most. My temples make me suspect though.

I will sure as hell never get medication or waste money over this though, baldness is normal.

I started noticing hair loss around 17; I'm 30 now. I still have hair on top but it's definitely thin. I'm a balding manlet. :(

I'll be 58 next month, still have a VERY full head of hair! (Way too full & thick, IMO)

Guess I got the "good Hair" genes.
Maternal side, all the men were/are bald or balding badly.
Paternal side, all the men had full heads of hair.

I am looking forward to going bald. Then I will not have to deal with cutting my hair every year or so. Will save me some time and effort.

Also, I can save money by using less shampoo and conditioner.
