Anybody know of any good e-mail services out there. The only thing I have ever used is Juno, so I don't know much about any others. All I know is that Juno's service is not to great. I don't like having to get into the whole program and wading through the ads just to check my mail. And checking my mail takes forever anyway.

So what do you guys recommend? It's gotta be free of course. What are the different kinds? POP3 is where you check your mail on the internet right?

Did you know that you can check your Juno e-mail over the internet? Just log in here with your normal Juno username and password. No need to go through the process of going through all the ads in the program to check your e-mail.

Other free e-mail services include mail from MailOptions (which offers POP3 access to your e-mail), OriginPoint, and also Mail.com. All of these services are free to use. There are many more out there, too many to list.

hotmail is pretty decent, and because it is owned by Microsoft, you can check it through outlook express.

Are you using Juno's freemail or their pay service? Their pay service ($8.95) isnt that bad....less ads, more phone numbers, etc.

Edit: And, as JW310, pointed out, you can check your e-mail on JunoWeb (pop3).

Hotmail is good, since you can "block sender". If someone is spamming you, you can prevent them from doing so. I think other e-mail services are adopting this feature for their own.

Juno just dropped their rates to $4.95 per month. THey do not have a spam filter yet, but it is supposed to be one of the new features that they will be implementing.

no POP3 is where you have a program on your harddrive that connects to an email server and checks for mail. I prefer it since you can set it to check for mail every minute, and don't have to worry about internet lag when checking your mail, etc.
