Think he was a singer in the 80's? I had no idea myself until every 10-12 year old on the internet started putting this phrase on their clipboard and pasting it into conversations approximately every .03 seconds. Dave Chapelle is an otherwise very funny (IMO) comic who may simply not have known (and hopefully would have decided against the Rick James stuff if he had) how this stuff would torment everyone over the age of 13 on the internet. Another phrase from the show (I think...?) that the young ones repeat incessantly is "Cocaine is a hell of a drug".

Rick James was a singer in the late 70's - 80's. He had a pimp song called "Super Freak"

Dave Chapelle is a black comic (he was the main char in the movie Half Baked) on his show on Comedy Central he does a bunch of skits. The skit that everyone talks about is where Eddie Murphy's brother tells a story about Rick James, Dave plays Rick.

During the skit he said some seriously funny sh!t, one line being "I'm Rick James Bitch"

If you haven't heard Super Freak, the main riff was sampled in U Can't Touch This by MC Hammer.

The real Rick James bitch is the woman he held at "crack pipe" point in 1991.

THANKS! :)

Wondered where the heck that line came from.

Back in early May I went to a Giants baseball game against the Padres at SBC/PacBell Park in San Francisco, had great seats on the 1st deck.

There were these two drunk guys in their late 20s that would periodically shout "I'm a James bitch!"

Gotta admit, they cracked me up.

other blights upon humanity that have been made popular by this show are "whaaaat?" "yeaah!" and "ookayy!"

Someone shouting "I'm a James bitch!" cracks you up? Wow, I guess I'm too old to see the humor in such a thing. Ah, to be young and stupid again...
