My name showed up in the paper as having Unclaimed Property and I sent in the paper work to find out what it was about 2 months ago. I had forgot about it untill about 5 mins ago when a letter showed up about it telling me what it was. I was expecting to see the $5 I left in a credit union and haven't touched in 5 + years but its $351 in tax checks 🙂. I don't remember ever losing one but I guess I did.

Well lets not go crazy now. I have to stretch this out.

Anyway check to see if your state has an online unclaimed property page and see if you have any money out there. You never know you could be rich like me 😉.

If you go there and click on US States on the left and scroll down to your state it will give you the webpage for your state's unclaimed property division. You should just be able to enter your name and see if your state has any of your money.
