I am really missing out

I installed doom3 today and man, it looks horrible! I put the settings to Ultra, res 1600x1200x32 with 2xAA and 2xAF. The texture quality is horrible! I guess my 8.1 Grahpics must go! NOW!

But, when I put the detail to low I get very acceptable Frame rates (about 30) and the game is still fun

I wouldnt call it 3 years of suffering. At one point, my 1.5 was top of the line much like my new A64. My computer started showing age about 1 year ago. Before then it was still fairly descent, and even today, is still fairly descent.
