Wow, you're right - haven't seen Moonie around for a while. Steamer probably isn't a Moonie alt though - Moonie occasionally did say something interesting, and he/she wasn't nearly as angry.

And even what Moonbeam repeated over and over and over again was at least cute the first time he said it. Newell Steamer not so much.

I stand with President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and President Harry S. Truman and countless others in the proud and unbowed tradition of American liberals.

You stand by Truman, who dropped not one, but two nuclear devices killing innocent women, children and the elderly?

Really?

FDR put tens of thousands in detainment camps.

Truman ordered the killing of innocent women, children and the elderly.

These are your examples of what liberals are supposed to be like?

If you want to use an example, use LBJ. He at least signed the civil rights act.

You forgot to call the dropping of the Atomic Bombs racist.

You think if a Republican dropped an atom bomb on some non-white people that liberals would not immediately call such an act racist?

I don't have to believe it, dad is british, mom is american, i see politics from both sides and the american side is conservative across the board.

Wrong, We have high corporate taxes, we can't wait to get more people on welfare, more business regulation than there is paper to print it on. We have people who take over city parks and demand free house, car, higher education, removal of all outstanding debt. The list goes on and on but those all have for the most part Liberal written all over them. I agree and support a lot of liberal ideas but those of you who think our entire nation is right of center are just out of your minds.

The most ironic post of the year.
No shit. The OP declares his beliefs with a quote from Webster's although his commentary is directly contrary to it!

Fuck all you conservative assholes because I have a broad and enlightened mind that is free from narrowness!

Lol, no universal health care, low minimum wage, tax breaks on the super wealthy, etc.

We have super conservative drug laws and the prison system in general is becoming a private industry in many conservative (and liberal) states. When your prison system is FOR profit, you get the prison industry lobbying (successfully) for harsher penalties, mandatory minimum sentencing, etc.

The conservatives in europe all managed to survive the universal healthcare push in the past century, yet for some reason it is looked upon as super liberal insane idea once it gets to the US.

Minimum wage in Luxembourg is ~2,000 euro/month. or 24,000 euro/year or about $33,000 USD per year.
US minimum wage is ~$14,000 per year ($7.25/hr) on a 40 hour week. With that $14,000 you also get less social benefits, no free healthcare, etc.

Also i'd rather tax the hell out of the rich to make sure not a single person goes hungry or homeless, but fuck them. Right?

If other countries can do it seemingly without problems, why is it a problem in the US? It shouldn't be but it is because we need the rich to be able to make more money for it to trickle down to everyone else, just wait another 50-100 years and it will all start trickling down.

I find it hilarious that our usual wingnut suspects think you are an alt Moonie account.

Edit: See, they think liberals are pussies. They get shocked when we call them on their lying ass talking points. Moonie fights back and you fight back.

Then test yourself on the Nevada desert. Do you believe the West belongs to the Federal Government, or to the people of the West?
I stand with Liberty for our people, am I more Liberal than you? :hmm:

Ah, so the generosity from Perknose's definition of liberal is really generosity with other people's money :D

Also, if you think America has a problem with people going hungry you obviously have never been to America :sneaky:

Hey, if an birth certificate can't fool these guys,.. what hope do I have?

Then again, the birth certificate IS a government document. And, we all know that the government is not reliable and just full of lies,.. unless of course the government is doing something that I support and believe in.

What's happening in Nevada is theft and terrorism. A truly liberal person would be against them.

It says most people ignore sarcastic nonsense.

So, ignore means;
- read every comment
- comment on comments made by the very person ignored
- talk about the person being ignored

See, you have used the word "ignore",... but, it does not mean what you think it means,...

You define liberty as some rancher occupying land that doesn't belong to him at gunpoint? I don't. Anarchy is not liberty, nor is armed terrorism.

All the land that we collectively stole from the Native Americans belongs collectively to the American people in the guise of our government, which is the sole legal expression of the ENTIRETY of the American people.

A fat ass rancher who thinks he's entitled to keep sucking welfare through threat of arms is NOT the legal collective expression of our nation, nor does he and his actions, in any way, define liberty. :colbert:

You believe that crap too?
Its true. When a conservative supreme court judge over a lifetime becomes a pinko commie in the current climate it highlights the shift in what was the conservative party. Sorry to pee on your hyperbole
You are only a liberal until someone does something you disagree with. Then are a bigot like everyone else.

Everyone has a limit as to what they will accept in society. We can not have anarchy and expect the state to exist.

What does that have to do with the price of tea in china?

Dont paint with such a wide brush. You will be pleasantly surprised

Oh sure, choose Luxembourg. Lets ignore the UK with EUR 1,189.92 France with EUR 1,445.38 Spain with 752. Lets also ignore the fact everything is more expensive over there do to tariffs and sales taxes. Yep, those high regressive sales taxes. Oh but, I guess we are conservative through and through due to a lack of Universal Health care.

Spain is one of the worst hit of the European countries by the housing crisis so meh, they aren't doing too hot. As for the others, you still get a LOT more social benefits than are provided in the US. If you get sick in england it doesn't matter if you're on the Dole or have a high paying job, they make you better. I say that's worth a hell of a lot more than whatever bullshit excuse you will provide as to why we can't pay our citizens what they need to live.

Oh you are peeing all right, it just happens to be right into the wind. And BTW, the United States is the greatest country in the world. Why would you argue that it's so right of center?
