I feel very dumb but once in a while I need to fax something and I don't have access to a fax machine. I thought that you could do it on a computer with a cable modem. Please let me know in easy terms.
You need a regular analog modem and faxing software to do it from your PC. The only other route is using one of the online faxing services like the one mentioned above.
really easily. Install a 56k modem. Setup Fax capabilities as a print option in control panel (XP and 2000 have this option). Then when you want to fax a document, just select your fax port as the printer. It works well.
Yes, but ours is a network faxing software. In essence we are charging $95/person and ours works better than any other Mac software on the market hands down. We are also OS 10.2 (Jaguar) compatible.
