My family is from Cali, be careful. No matter how far fetched, we scheme like no other. People in my family have waited three years to get married for a visa, & promptly ran off. Clearing out bank accounts, bringing over cousin after cousin, casting hexes drug trade; it doesn't stop. Someone somewhere on her side will try & take advantage of you. Let them know who's boss, & they might leave you alone. The women are beautiful & overall, nice people, but the guys are all selfish, arrogant, petty, & influencial over their women. Beware.

Yeah, but you are from Cali. :p

Just kidding. No, she's a good girl and her family is very nice and stable. Her father is retired from the military and does consulting, and her mother stays at home.

I'm completely in love and so is she. I'm the happiest I've been in my life since before my father died.

BTW, ATers are not allowed to crash the wedding. :p Only those invited can come get drunk. :)

I'm in.

Open bar?

and if you need a ring, I've got some hookups. Gimme a call.

As long as she does something & doesn't stay at home talking with her family all day. As long as she wants to go to a real doctor, a real dentist, & not some family friend. Let no one "stay for a visit". Don't rent, loan, lend, anything to them. Let them earn your trust, but still keep them in check.

The military man is a good sign. Maybe the rest of the family leech off of him. Just stay confident & strong. Don't fall for any of their sh1t, & if your wife works, she'll be a good one.

I'm not kidding about the hexes either.

Yes, congratulations in finding the love of your life. :wine: :p

But dont forget to consider living in The jungles near Manaus...the Amazonas...full of piranhas. The birds of paradise disappear into the green desert. For years and years we are hungry and desperate...for the only thing worth living...the Excess!!

We end our Great Mission, exhausted and sad, and there is no hope left -
When suddenly! In a cloud of golden smog, the father of Excess jumps out of the water of
the Amazonas full of piranhas...and screams... to the lost souls:

"What are you doing at the Amazonas near Manaus full of piranhas?

[burp!]

You will not find Excess...in da jungle!!"

And then, he opened the green curtain made of fleshy leaves and said...

"I show you the Excess of the Asphalt a Montmartre!! The Excess of the belly-dance
In Abu Dhabi!! ....And the Excess of the everlasting night in Manhattan

[burp!]

Are you ready for the sensation del tango a Rosario?!?!

Leave him, the gorilla!

Leave the jungle of the Amazonas near Manaus full of piranhas!

....And follow father Excess..."

I  that song ever since it came out. Its by Yello, released in 1982.

Here...check it out.

Again, congrats!
