I haven't been keeping up with hardware these days, so help me find a PCI-E video card under $50 that can play BF2 well and possibly CoD4 on low settings.

My PC has an A64 4000+ w/ 1 GB RAM

I have looked on the Egg but not sure what is decent now days

EDIT: Over $50 is fine since I can buy used ones from AT :)

ATI 3850 would be your best performance for the money atm. You may want to wait till after the holidays and get an 8800gt 256mb as it will be affordable and easier to get ahold of. Also, I'd get another gig of ram, that will help with your fps.

I think you would be happy with a Radeon X1650 Pro:

Your money might go farther in the FS/FT forum though.

I think you ignored his budget.

I'd go with the 7300GT tbh. It is actually a 7600 GPU with DDR2 memory. It still has a 128bit memory bus and after rebate falls well below your budget. You might need to not drink coffee one day to make sure you can buy it pre-rebate.

Edit, the review that card got on newegg should be wrong. The 128mb version is 64bit memory but the 256mb is 128bit and eVGA has that stat listed on their website.
