Did I miss something about Resistance 3?


I never picked it up. I played the first two, loved them, just never got around to actually buying 3. It was at a time when way too many other games I wanted to play were being released, and they were my preferable platform choice: PC.
Last FPS I bought on PS3 was Killzone 3, never got very far because I got distracted (always enjoyed the Killzone games). Hell, I still haven't picked up Uncharted 3. D:

He classes R3 in the "shooters" category, which seems something he is doing in a very favorable light. Did I miss a golden console FPS?

spunkgargleweewee titles have their place, imho, and I enjoy them to a certain point. Single-player I've largely ignored at this point for those titles, but the latest BF franchise games I have loved for multiplayer. Warfighter's MP I found to be bland and experience-breaking, so I haven't looked back since launch (at some point I may).
CoD MW and MW2, single-player campaigns, I largely enjoyed because, while narrowly focused, felt like an engrossing cinematic experience and I found that great. But while I enjoyed MW2 MP, I've given up on the series. I can get that experience in BF3 now when I want it, and can also get so much more.
