Let me show you.

Edit: Aww it didn't work.

Edit2: Ha!, I time warped into the future. Thanks to me, we were able to demonstrate time warping.

Let me see if I have it right (someone correct me if I'm wrong).

The forums use your system clock to time stamp posts. If another user's clock is off a minute or two from another posters, the post will "warp" and appear before the other.

Let's say that I post right now, and then you post after me. However, my post shows up below yours. That's a timewarp. The severity seems to range a lot, and some times it gets really confusing when the original post of a thread gets displaced...

test

Doesn't appear to be the case - I set my time to be 5 minutes ahead and it did nothing.

Yeah i was wondering what it was too.

So, will this be corrected when we move to vbulletin, or is time still based on local system clock?

I highly doubt that AT uses local time.

Maybe AT has multiple servers which are off sync by 30 seconds or something.

If true I guess they have never heard of an NTP server.

If that were the case I would imagine the issue would have poped up before now
