i am not a happy camper.

basically today at work has been a wash. quickbooks crashed and i haven't been able to do a THING. i do all the invoicing, putting everyone's freaking order in by hand. i knew today was going to be bad because of the long weekend and we sold quite a few tables.

its 550pm right now, i generally leave around 6ish. you'd think "allright, day is over, let's try to fix and hopefully it'll be up tomorrow."

but no. no no no. "can you stay until quickbooks is back up and invoice?"

he said around 130pm that quickbooks "would be back up in half an hour." liessss.

cliffnotes: quickbooks is dead, they're trying to fix it, i have to stay until it's repaired, and the invoice people.

and yes, i'm freaking salaried.

that's because quickbooks still IS NOT fixed and i don't have anything else to do at the moment.

They can't make you stay but it does not look good if you don't stay a reasonable amount of time. If the program is not fixed by quiting time then ask your boss if you can leave. I would think that is a reasonable amount of time.
