ITK 007: When I first got this cable modem the service went out for a full week! I got a free month for my inconvience but needless to say I wasn't too happy about it. BUT its still better than dialup. I hope I have a little better luck:disgust:

Your ping is not better than dialup, trust me on that one. Its horrible, meaning you'll be have a lot of trouble aiming and knowing where people are.

This is gonna probably sound stupid but you don't learn if you don't ask. Can my ping be better than hers if we have the same ISP? Can something not be right with the cable line itself causing her ping problem? Or am I just pretty much screwed?

Well you aren't screwed, your cable company could fix it over time, but I highly doubt that its gonna happen real soon. Its most likely the same for you as it is for her, I'll PM you and we can find out.
