I was wondering if any one knows any good one, i have seen many and want to know if any one knows if any are better than another.

I need something fairly simple to put up. I have used wordpress and was wondering if any one knows of something of that simplicity.
Also this will be used by students so it needs to be fairly simple to use.

Sorry if this is the wrong section i could not figure which one is the best to post in.

Oh yeah, Thanks by the way....

Why not use MediaWiki? It runs Wikipedia and it isn't too complicated to install and use.

I was just about to install MediaWiki when I saw

http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Upgrading

Check requirements

MediaWiki 1.11 requires:

PHP
PHP 5.0.x or later
We recommend using PHP 5.1.x or 5.2.x.
Note that PHP 5.0.x under certain 64-bit platforms contains bugs which cause fundamental problems with MediaWiki. If running on an x86_64 (AMD64, EMT64) or other affected 64-bit platform, PHP 5.1.x or 5.2.x is required.

I'm still using PHP 4.4.6 :(

MediaWiki 1.6.8 is apparently content with PHP 4.

Thanks I'll have to check it out. But I'm not sure what I would use MediaWiki for?

It is. It is also content with old versions of MySQL (3.23?).

MediaWiki is great, because many people are already familiar with its syntax.

On the other hand, it is lacking in the area of admin tools.
