Yeah, that's the pricier version of the Stacker. You could get the regular stacker now for just over $100, and SVC is probably flirting with the line between honest and deceptive advertising to show it for $79 "with rebate," then to charge buyers $99 and clarify that the price that attracted you was the "after rebate" price. Then shipping costs for a case -- add another $20-something, and state-tax.
Somebody poo-pooed the idea of "so many fans." True, the fewer, the better. But you can move more air with more fans -- all running slower and with a lot less noise.
Other modding ideas suggest a possibility to cut 120mm holes in the case bottom, put the case on coaster-wheels, install one or two fans there, and draw air off the floor. The fans would need filters, but such a configuration would reduce noise for fans deployed in the case front.
The problem with the Antec P180 is that there isn't much room for that solution.
By the way -- there was a recent tech-news article about Intel offering a prize for compact case-design with adequate cooling -- supposedly for HTPC usage. Or maybe it was IBM, but the punch-line of the news article was something like "goodbye, IBM-beige."
I suppose I will now have to chrome-plate or bake-enamel all my junk-cases converted to current use. Bling-bling. I still prefer full-towers over mid-towers, and I flirted with mid-towers over a five-year period.
