I am looking for a case under $200, with atleast 5 or more 120mm fans.

Watercool, your NB temps wont go down (believe me, I've pointed a fan at the open mobo and only a diff of 1 or 2 degrees on the NB).

I believe the Antec Nine Hundred comes with 3 120mm fans (2 front, 1 back) and the top 200mm blowhole with the option to mount 2 (might be 1) 120mm fans but it's a little small.

I've got a very similar set-up as yourself, including overclock. Instead of a new case, it sounds like you need to replace your current fans and better cable management. At heavy load while gaming, my temps cpu/mobo don't go above 45c. Personally, I think it's your cpu hsf. I use a XP-120 with a Delta High-Speed Triple Blade fan that blows 140cfm downward onto the motherboard cooling everything.

note - at 50% load(Folding on one core) both my cpu and mobo are around 33c

/me has an antec 180 and o/c core duo setup which runs cool n quiet

Firstly whats the problem with your motherboard temp - is it crashing, is it out of spec? I doubt it. That aside if you want to cool the northbridge then buy a better northbridge cooler! That will be much more effective then a new case no matter how many fans you have, and much cheaper.

As for the case - are you using the optional gpu cooling 120mm fan - i.e. the one that clips on to the side of the top hd tray? In my setup that's the most effective fan for motherboard cooling.

I also modded mine for better cooling by removing the unused top 3 5 1/4 inch drive covers and adding a big air filter (nicked off an old antec sonata) - I added sound proofing and deflectors in there (using the 4 metal drive covers cut down slightly) to keep it silent. That means cpu cooler (scythe infinity) can draw cool air straight from the front, but tbh that won't help your motherboard much.

That AMS CF-1009 looks sweet but I can't find anyone other than coolcases that carries it. I don't need it modded, I'll do that myself.

Well i really just a new case. With alot of cooling, with out water. I use up all the cables on my psu. except a like 5 sata powers, and 2 pci-e power leads. And this case really has no room for this psu, and i would like something bigger. But i guess there is nothing bigger, and with the amount of fans i want.

Antec Nine Hundred case comes with 1 x 200 mm and 3 x 120 mm fans. It also has mounts for 2 "optional" 120 mm fans. All are TriCool and can be set for high, medium or low speed.

You can check out a coolermaster stacker 830. This beefy boy has 4 120mm fans on the SIDE PANEL!!!!! It can support upto a total of 9 120mm fans :Q

I've seen this case at compusa they had a price of 284.99(over 200 yes I know that, but that's instore retail) I am sure it can be had for much less.

Yeah, that's the pricier version of the Stacker. You could get the regular stacker now for just over $100, and SVC is probably flirting with the line between honest and deceptive advertising to show it for $79 "with rebate," then to charge buyers $99 and clarify that the price that attracted you was the "after rebate" price. Then shipping costs for a case -- add another $20-something, and state-tax.

Somebody poo-pooed the idea of "so many fans." True, the fewer, the better. But you can move more air with more fans -- all running slower and with a lot less noise.

Other modding ideas suggest a possibility to cut 120mm holes in the case bottom, put the case on coaster-wheels, install one or two fans there, and draw air off the floor. The fans would need filters, but such a configuration would reduce noise for fans deployed in the case front.

The problem with the Antec P180 is that there isn't much room for that solution.

By the way -- there was a recent tech-news article about Intel offering a prize for compact case-design with adequate cooling -- supposedly for HTPC usage. Or maybe it was IBM, but the punch-line of the news article was something like "goodbye, IBM-beige."

I suppose I will now have to chrome-plate or bake-enamel all my junk-cases converted to current use. Bling-bling. I still prefer full-towers over mid-towers, and I flirted with mid-towers over a five-year period.

I would have echoed the sentiments of other P180 owners and said just get better cable management and use baffles/air guides to fix airflow. The P180 has monster cooling potential with the right tweaks/mods. Can't get much better without sounding like a hovercraft.

You need a better Northbridge cooling solution... not 16 fans.
