I am getting in on the ground floor over at ATOT. I will remember your kindness when the forums are up and AjayTech gets a tad bit older.

yah, no kidding.

i'm trying to figure out what's so special with the kid. he's learned windows applications .. big deal. they're designed so stupid people can get the most out of them.

now if he were a *NIX admin ... i'd give him props.

I fail to see what's so special, too. He's using GUI apps, not making them. Heck, I was making cool stuff with hypercard when I was 8, and hypercard you could think of kinda like flash -- frankly I think flash is way easier to use.

If he made a video game by now, then I'd be applauding.

well, he's prolly on his way to being a *NIX admin, but M/S isn't that easy for everyone. I mean, there are tons of different aspects to it, and he has mastered the multilmedia aspect of it, which in itself is very, very large. One thing is that he is only eight years old. Tell me how many eight year old kids you know that know even one word of VB.

What surprised me even more is his vocabulary:
``I have learnt the high lesson of computer not due to any fear of stick, but from the loving hand of my dear parents and the warm kisses of my dearest grandparents.

``I would like to say to all the kids world over that respect for your parents, elders and love for all should be your first training lesson in life, I believe that it is blessings of elders that help you to achieve your aim in life. Believe in God and have confidence in yourself.

``Nothing is impossible in this world if you work hard and you are backed by blessings and have good wishes for everybody.

``A computer is not a difficult tool. I use it everyday. Why can't you? Age is not the factor for this new technology.'' _ and Ajay has certainly shown this to be true.

give him a little slack here... I mean the kid is 5

Eight, not five (3 years does make a difference :D)

Yeah, I just looked again. He was 5 when he was passing those MS exams though and thats still impressive.

I'm not impressed. if i started using a computer at 2, I'd probably blow this kid out of the water. (If we were born around the same date lol.)

Anyways, with the way technology is these days, kids start playing with computers before they can walk. I think children like Ajay will be a dime a dozen in the future.
