Many people are sick of NVidia's depth optimizations, their closed focus group, their closed source driver, their willingness to do whatever Microsoft asks them to, the fact that they haven't invented anything original since 1993, their excessive prices, their focus on efficiency, JHH's executive salary, how Gsync doesn't work, and now their patent trolling. Nvidia is a product of the patent system after all as it sent them right the signals while sending 3dfx the wrong ones and the latter coughed up blood for it. Nvidia couldn't even come close the original SLI and by doing so they wasted everyones' money.

NVidia tried to censor the benchmarks of Tomb Raider Angel of Darkness when they showed worse performance on a Geforce FX.

AMD allows old HW to have their drivers updated.

Doesn't everyone else find all that a good idea to buy an AMD GPU this holiday season?

Isn't the future of Gaming, pc, console, and others AMD?

What else should we charge Nvidia with before they come to Washington DC for more bailouts? I mean they've bailed out enough but enough won't be quite enough for NVidia.

This is some serious bait right there.

As has been discussed quite a bit, Nvidia has tried to work with companies on settlements for patents. A patent troll sues everyone on patents. I believe this is a first for the company. I do not see how you can justify calling them patent trolls, they do create stuff. You may not like what they have created but that is not relevant.

As someone who has switched from Nvidia to AMD - I have to ask as a non biased party - please stop with the bait. This forum has enough foolishness.

...I don't think nVidia got any money in the bail outs of 2008? Huh?

Just curious OP, what do you do for a living?

You seem to have enough cash to drop on graphics cards when you feel like it, yet you somehow believe the companies making them shouldn't get paid?

What is the nature of your thread? Rant? Question?
I was looking at a 285 if:
trueaudio supported
freesync supported;
they require only one power connector;
if they aren't long cards;
if they have a reliable ball bearing fan;
and if they run at max load temp of 75C or less.

Given those requirements, 280s are out of the question as are 290s.

Thanks but I was not baiting; NVidia has created nothing since its 1993 inception. A Patent troll could also be someone who copies and then successfully defends itself which is what NVidia did to 3dfx.
