...twenty three 20 guage fieldshot 8 shells and separated the parts. Plastic scrap in one bowl, lead shot in another bowl, and powder disks in a third bowl. I took the powder bowl outside (middle of the freaking night) and dropped a match into the bowl. The first match didn't ignite the bowl, but from the hight I dropped it, the match seemed to almost go out before hitting the powder. I stood there waiting for the smoldering embers to ignite the powder, but I guess matches go out quickly and don't leave much smoldering. I lit a second match right above the bowl, dropped it quickly, then backed the fvck up. Boy was I glad I did. With the shape of the bowl, the flame went straight up. A tower of it. Five fvcking feet tall. I'm sitting here for about a second (surprised it was burning that long) watching this tower of fire burn a blind spot into my retina at 1am, wondering wtf the neighbors would think if they just happened to look out their window at that moment... oh well. Sweet sh|t. It's raining here (slightly), so I'm surprised the powder even went off. Probably one reason it didn't burn higher or longer. Now I have about 3lbs worth of field 8 shot that I don't know what to do with. I'm thinking of white construction paper, hot glue, and a nice collage to go on my mommy's fridge.
