I am impressed with Outlook XP 2003 installation

I backed up Outlook a couple of days ago. Today I deleted Office 2000 to install Office XP 2003 but I did not back up. After deleting 2000 Office, I installed XP Office 2003. I was looking forward to a clean slate in Outlook but "all" (even those that I did not back up) my emails were there plus my DSL settings. To me that is impressive especially since I deleted Office 2000 before the install.

Any tips for Outlook 2003?

Well, when you uninstall office, it still leaves the Application Support files, so your outlook.pst file is saved (the file that contained your emails).

backup your pst files and rules and you should be fine.

I love 2k3 too. very slick. I don't use the outlook spam but instead spambayes never had a false spam and only a few spam got through in the past few months(after training)

outlook.pst

btw outlook ? pff.. gave that up and windows altogether. Evolution under linux does everything I ever used out of Outlook, and its free and is not the source of billions of spam and viruses being spread around the net this very second, unlike Outlook

In regards to the sig, I never played Halo. I used to play Quake 3 but that was then. Is Halo on PC any good compared to Xbox?

I enjoyed halo on pc, didnt feel as 'tight' as xbox but the ability to use mouse+keyboard is a huge step up athough the xbox controls are great. Also, driving the vehicles was much easier with a mouse
