I am hearing static noises spontaneously

Ok, so there was one time when i was playing wow and i heard these static noises out of no where that was kind quiet. When i play this game, Pogo // Vaults of Alantis the static noise comes very commonly. I am pretty sure its not the site, but what else can it be? my speakers? dust?

this may sound funny...but im gonna say it anyway. When my cell phone is sitting on the same desk as my speakers on my desktop, right before i recieve a phone call or text message my speakers will make a series a screachy static noises. I dont know why but it does

Yeah its like that for everyone. But the noise the is caused from the cell phone sounds totatlly different from the sound i am hearing. It sounds like TV kind of static.

Unplug, then plug in your speakers 5 or 6 times. Either that, or buy some of this: TV tuner cleaner. I own some of that cleaner, and I used to have to unplug/replug my computer speakers all the time, to keep the connection from getting scratchy. Then, I decided to use that, and it hasn't happened since. That was about 3 years ago.

IMHO You were right the first time. Motherboard sound (probably connectors) failing. Try a sound card and let us know.
