I am having problems, I need help setting up my mouse! EDIT: IS MY MOUSE BROKEN?!?

I just got a Logitech MouseMan optical mouse, and I am having some problems with it. First of all, I can't scroll through my weapons in Unreal Tournament with the scroll on my mouse. And second of all sometimes under somewhat cpu usage(loading up a webpage or so) my cursor just sits there wiggling while I try to move it. Is there something I can do to make my mouse not wiggle like make my mouse the top priority or something? How do I go about doing that? And what about the Unreal problem? Do all the mice have that problem or am I just special?

First off...yes, you are special!!

Your welcome!

You may need to reset the mouse in UT options. Re map that function! If your previous mouse did not have the wheel, that may be why!

Also try upgrading the mouse drivers from Logitech!

What OS you use??

After everything. Remove the mouse, boot up! Have Windows detect NO mouse. Turn off PC. Re connect the mouse and Windows find it again. Loading the drivers from CD at that time!

Good luck bud,

Edblor

I have Windows ME and am using the latest drivers from Logitech for ME. I couldn't use the drivers it came with since they don't have ME support. So basically I am screwed.

I don't think your out of luck at all!

My buddy just got that mouse and has not mentioned any probs whatsoever!

Did you try turning off re-booting with no mouse and vice-versa? That may help. That may help reinitialize the mouse drivers! Also check out Logitechs' website for an FAQ that may have the answers. Or your documentation that came with the mouse!

Good luck,

Edblor

I can't find crap about my problem on the Logitech support site. I am going to try and contact them via email if I can find the freaking link. So nobody had this problem in ME?

It may be a WinME problem because alot of people are having problems with mice under ME. Just one of the MANY reasons I am sticking with 98 until Whistler. Anyway, one thing you might try is using a USB -> PS/2 adapter, I know one came with my Microsoft Optical but I don't know about the Logitechs.

Oh and by the way Edblor - lay off the exlamation points man. You are making way too liberal use of them.

The mouse did come with an adapter and I got the same problem. That was the reason I switched to usb seeking better results but it is all the same problem.

the link is nto working. RIght now I am attempting to use the Windows ME drivers for the mouse but still getting problems. I guess I will just reinstall the drivers from logitech and try to find that registry fix.
