get the 2x format zip and run that in custom recovery before you wipe and do a clean install.

alternatively when you factory reset, clear /data, /cache etc stuff manually twice.

I have yet to look into whether or how to do a low-level format on this phone (or if it's even necessary on flash devices-- perhaps the controller just marks off problematic blocks as it encounters them), but in the past I have improved SDcard reliability with a low level format marking off the bad sectors.

which s2? give me a specific model number please.

be extremely careful doing a factory reset with a stock recovery, if your model uses an exynos4 soc you could likely permanently brick the emmc it due to shitty programming on samsung's behalf and a faulty emmc chip shipped in most of their exynos4 models of the era.

your best bet is to flash a kernel with a custom recovery (since these all account for samsung's mistake) and then do a real format of /data with it.

find me on freenode in #cyanogenmod as utkanos if you need one on one help, forums are a bad medium for this kind of thing.
