I am having CPU temperature problems.

I just installed and purchased Abit-Max3, 2.8ghz , arctic silver 5, and a Spark 7 +. My CPU temperatures are for some reason 50 degrees celcius . seriously whats wrong???

Uhm... Are you serious? It's 50 C and you want to know what's wrong? What's wrong with 50 C? Not only is that well within spec, that is pretty low in fact. Seriously, there's nothing wrong with that temp.

First you never mentioned what kind of CPU you have I'm going to assume P4, otherwise if ur overclocking ur AMD to that and complaining about that temp I'd slap you so hard you wouldnt know what hit you. P4's put out a ton of heat, there's nothing wrong with that temp, as long as it isnt hitting above 60C your just fine, the only easy fix is a bigger heatsink and fan, because simply you need to push heat away faster, otherwise check your case airflow if it slowly rises over time.

What is ambient?
Where are you getting your reading.? Abit boards read high (or more likely right on).
What is the airflow like in the case?
Are these load temps?

Most likely you have to much thermal paste or did not apply it properly. I would reapply. However you are not exaxtly hot since your chip will run fine up to the low 70's c.

these are my idle temperatures and i just ordered 4 3000 RPm case fans to lower the system temperature. I didn't even start overclocking but i was looking forward to it, ill begin once i recieve my 4 case fans.

I would reapply the thermal paste. I you are reading them in the bios they are still a little higher than normal.

I applied Arctic Silver 5 first time, and then i reapplied it again, and i am still receiving the same temperatures. I think it could be the Spark 7+

Bleh...if you think your heat sink is sufficient and you got a thin smooth layer of paste and the heatsink is tight on there...then don't sweat it.
It's not crashing right? 50c is probably ok.

my temperature went down to 45 IDLE, i didnt test out the maximum temp as of yet. What heatsink would u recommend??

If your fan is constantly on full blower mode spinning at 5000+ rpm making a ruckus then you really might be running at 50c. If not, then it might be the temp sensor on your board that is reading incorrectly. Now that I think about it where did you place the fan sensor? If its not placed correctly it will never read the correct temp, and run your fan at low setting causing a HOT CPU.
