i am having a problem with internet explorer

I have a cable modem and sometimes when i am surfing the internet (with internet explorer) the pages wont load...

they act as if the cable modem were disconnected. But Instant messenger and kazaa still work fine. This happens often enough that i want to address it, but i dont knowif this is an issue with explorer or my service provider.

Has anyone had this happen to them before?
 
Mine did something similar to this a while back. The culprit, in my case, was my routers firmware. I upgraded it and all is well. May not help in your case.
