I am having a problem accessing internet pages

i get that error 'page cannot be displayed' when i try to access some internet pages
but when i ping the url from a command line i get a response, anyone have any idea why this is happening and what i can try to resolve this problem?

i have checked it with microsfot one care, adaware, and spybot and nothign comes up, it just seems to time out randomly or something
