The X3 has been "coming soon" for almost a year now. When I was looking to mod my Xbox that I got for an early Christmas present in 2003, the X3 was going to be out "real soon now".

I bought a 2.3b Lite+. I'm glad I didnt wait for the X3.

 

The 2.6 is coming out soon, if you want to wait for more lights go for it. I think you can install the new Cromwell BIOS on 2.3b to do the other stuff like hard drive lock, etc.
