mjinz will only get an ipad if it can extract fat from the food (especially milk!!) he's going to injest, because everyone knows that consuming dietary fat will kill you at 35. And if you die at 35, the ipad won't be useful to you anymore, rendering the purchase a waste of money.

Where are you getting these connectors? I can't find anything cheap on ebay.

You can get cheap Apple connector cables from places like Dealextreme.com as well as a bunch of other places. Most of them ship these products from overseas so it'll take a week minimum. The products are not officially licensed but they do work. Sometimes quality assurance is shoddy. The good thing is they're so cheap that you can buy a 4 or 5 of them and still wind up paying much less than buying an officially licensed cable.

The most annoying thing about the iPad and the 30-pin connector is that it charges glacially from anything other than a new Mac or the iPad USB charger. Laptops, desktops, car chargers, etc - they result in a message "not charging" in the corner. In reality it is charging, but super slowly.

Just so we are clear, everyone also hates the non-standard USB connectors out there right? Like the one on my camera, or a bunch of different cell phones, I am just glad that most of them seem to be settling on MicroUSB.

Proprietary connectors suck on anything. Doesn't matter if it's on an Apple product, Sony product, or an HTC product. Anyone that says otherwise is just being a fool.
