I was reading some of the short reviews on this product page NewEgg and someone mentioned that some programs or drivers will not work with the x64 version of Windows XP.

Should i actually worry about this and purchase the original x32 version of XP, or go ahead and get the x64 version? Anyone run into any problems after upgrading to the 64 bit version?

As far as I know there still is no killer app for that OS. And if you're worried about if your apps will work, hit up the companies respected sites and see if they have 64-bit versions of their software, current software will work on the OS, or if there's a patch for it. Personally, unless you have to, I'd wait for Windows Vista. You can DL the beta now BTW.

unless you have some killer apps that utilize 64-bit wait for Vista. Lots of companies doesn't make drivers or only experimental drivers for XP 64 so in most cases it will be better to stick with the regular windows.

Why not download the Vista beta? Beta2 is sooooo much more stable than even the last build in Beta 1 (which was only a few weeks before beta2).
