Which of these cases are good for my rig and would be a recommended PSU W.....

My rig (plans of adding units in FUTURE) would contain.....which i plan to use for the next 4-5 years

Abit IP35 Pro
Q6600 G0 Step
2GB Ram PC6400 DDR2 800 (2x1GB)

Those power supply estimations are WAY off.

Since you are considering keeping your computer for a long time and I generally a good Case, Power Supply and Speakers outlast all other components I suggest these:

P180 Black - $70 after instant savings
Use code ONCAMPUS for free shipping.

As far as a power supply goes, I like these 2:

Modula Corsair 520 with 5 year warranty and 41 Amps on 12V rail = $99 - $10 Google checkout + Free shipping - this often has $20 MIR making it a $69 deal

or

OCZ 700 SLI - $93 + $9 shipping after $25 MIR - this is overkill for your system once again, but will last 5 years with upgrades.

For memory I suggest 2GB OCZ Platinum Rev 2 -4-4-4 timings for $70 after $40 MIR + free shipping

As far as graphics are concerned, if you do play games, I strongly recommend to switch to $170 X1950XT 512mb in the price range of the 8600GTS.

You still need a graphics device to output 2D images onto the desktop. If you dont care for playing games, onboard graphics will be sufficient for 2d applications and basic video like DVDs and YouTube.

GIGABYTE GA-G33M-DS2R - $140 - This motherboard has solid state capacitors which are supposed to last longer. Of course overclocking with onboard video is going to limit the motherboard but it should easily do 350FSB. With 9x multiplier of Q6600 that would give you close to 3.2ghz. Perhaps you can squeeze more out. It also has an empty PCI Express graphics slot in case you decide to upgrade the graphics card down the road.

Gigabyte also has the same board with 2 fewer SATA ports and not all capacitors are solid state (but the key ones around the cpu area are :)) It shaves another $20 off the price.

However, a major limitation of onboard graphics is that they do not support DVI output. So if you are planning on hooking this up to an LCD and using DVI, then I'd suggest to get Gigabyte P35 DS3L and something cheap like X1650 256mb . It has dual-link dvi output which lets you hook up up to 30 inch 2560x1600 monitor should you choose to down the road. Of course you can get even cheaper cards with passively cooled heatsinks without the extra dual-link dvi port which will save you even more $.

Actually my Abit Ip35 Pro board in on its way :( .....am i safe if restrict myself from playing games....would mostly use Photohop.....or just basics applications for the time being........and i am not spending a lot on screen will just go for a 17"-19" LCD that will fall for dead cheap....I would love to buy a good graphics down the road so i am thinking of saving up for later use then just buying onenow and another later......what do you think ???

With prices so low today, for a monitor don't go for a 17 inch. Try to get a 19 inch at minimum and I'd recommend a 20-22 inch panel. If you aren't going to play games, a faster graphics card wont help you in 2D, at least in windows xp. For Vista aeroglass interface the card I linked above is more than enough with its 256mb of ram.

You could get a 500watt psu and have plenty of enough.
Hell my [upcoming build] system is estimated at 471w and it's a lot more equipment than yours.
(Q6600 o/c to 3gig, 2 dimms, 3 sata HD, 2 dvd burners, 8800GTS 640, 2 120mm fans)

I decided to get a 600watt psu though to have 100+ over just in case.
Go modular on the psu, ideally you may want to get one that is 80+ certified to save on your electric bill and help the earth too.

There's a Corsair HX-620 and the Seasonic HM 600watt, both are modular, both are great psus.

Case - that's personal preference. I went with the Lian-Li PC-A05B, you can see my post/thoughts on it here

After using a case with a door the last 3 1/2 years, I refused to buy another case with a door. Can't stand the constant opening/closing when working with removable media (which I do a lot). Looked at a few Antec cases, didn't really like 'em, truthfully. P180/P182 is too "fridge" looking, 900 is a dust magnet, P150/Solo I like the cabling system but I'm not too crazy about the overall look (or the 92mm intakes).

That being said...I really liked the Lian-Li V1000 case but there's no way I'd pay $230 for a PC case, no matter how nice it was. Looked over the rest of theirs, found and really liked the A05. No frills, excellent quality, great price, great cooling...120mm intake and exhaust, no door - everything I wanted.
