I'll get the full specs for ya in a bit. Got the 1.8mhz processor. Thought about one faster, but I doubt adding 200 mhz would make a great deal of difference. I put my money in the vid card, and display. Cdrw/dvd drive. XP pro, 384 megs ram... Anything else ya wanna know?

Weight? I dunno About 8 lbs I guess. I have been lugging around an old 7000 for years. This seems a bit lighter, and I traveled with the old one quite a lot, and never minded it

Came to about $2200. Got the Office XP suite too

PAB- I love it Worth the price to me.

Never seen a better display. Have to have the fonts turned up, since at 1600x1200 things can look pretty small

My friend just bought one but get this, he spent an extra $75 to get XP Pro instead of Home, but then he was to cheap to spend the extra $75 to get the 9000 and got the MX440?!?!
I'm am so jealous btw

Negatives for this system...
I would say the weight for some, and it isnt the most stylish lappy you have ever seen. Yes they do a lease, but I didnt check that out. Do what PAB told me though (too late for me) and go through ebates. Can save a little bit that way.

You can put a better chip in down the road if it's really that necessary, which I doubt and when the chip costs 50 bucks. For business and nef applications, you ought to be set. Sounds like fun.

Knowing nothing much about linux, can XP pro and it "get along together" on the same 40 gig drive? PS I figured on upgrading memory in the next few months. Maybe up to the max. Have to wait and see.
