I am getting very tired of this!!!!!!!!!!! (Cable Modem)

I have a cable modem through Cox, and I keep getting disconnected, usually every few hours, and I have to reboot my computer to get reconnected. Tonight, though since about 9:00 I have been getting disconnected about every 30 minutes!!!:|!!! Somebody, help me please??? isgust

My stupid router keeps going down all the time. About every 5 minutes. Athome blames it on the code red virus.

Dont despair my brother. I have dsl and they have been comming and going off line so much latety its pathetic. Dont they realize how much fun Im having here at Anandtech?

I usually then have to use a slow 56k (44.4 k) backup modem when this happens.

My problem is that this has been going on for the last 6 months or so! Like I said I usually only get disconnected every few hours.

Yeah it's probably code red. Or maybe the new Red Worm 2...

I was down for at least 20 hours the other day, and my dsl lights have been blinking all week. Most ISP's around the country and around the world for that matter will hopefully be patched up soon.
