I agree wholeheartedly with MichaelD, even if I don't date often. There is a whole wide world beyond the safety of what you know. With time you'll embrace it and learn to let go of such relationships without so much trepidation. I say this having faced a similar situation numerous times and only in the last few years really learning what I'm worth.

Maybe that's one of the reasons I don't date often; I'm not one to play games and I'm not one to take hints. I've always admired a woman who says what she wants up-front, but those are rare and hard to find at 21 years of age.

Long distance relationships are never easy and often do not work :(

Sorry to hear it, best to move on and be happy with someone who
can be near to you.

Aimster...you don't know this for sure....you are assuming.

I know it sucks, but the truth will come out, you'll soon find out.
Assuming will only make things worse.

marry her or quit whining.

Wanna seem more attractive to her? Act like you're over it.

Went through the same thing and in retrospect it was the best thing to ever happen to me. Being that young I had no idea what a good relationship was till much later when I met the girl I eventually married. Man, would that have been a mistake if I stayed with my highschool ex!

So you sleep with her and then break up with her?

you got three choices

1. If you really love her, work things out . I suggest you first talk to her about it instead of just breaking it off, and try to save the relationship if you honestly love this chick.

2. Breakup with her and enjoy the single life especially in college. I personally think I had the best time in college being single, out with my buds and hitting on girls.

3. Area codes. she wont ever know what goes on another state unless you get caught in a picture that gets put up on collegehumor.com or she reads a post on ATOT that talks about what you have been doing (literally).

hehe how old are u? those "tingling" feelings crap comes and goes. It doesn't stay with you forever. It only stays when you're w/ another newer girl, and the same thing will happen w/ her. that "cool tingling awesome lovey" feeling only last a year a the most.

welcome to reality. don't expect that feeling to stay a lifetime. real relationships are about teamwork, mutual decisions, mutual financial support, procreating, etc. It's not about that stupid "lovey dovey" feeling crap.

- how often do you see her when you guys have school ?

- she has seen what's out there now that she's in college... it's never the same after college unless you guys are truly meant to be together. I don't believe in fate, but I believe in effort... how much has there been ?

If the answer is not good... I suggest you start opening your mind too.

you really only have 2 options here:

A) break up - LD in college does not work.
B) transfer to a NY school
