I am getting alot of these errors ..................

especially when I am on the net and have opened two or three IE windows I get this and other similar errors,

This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down



I checked the microsoft site and its actually one of the the top questions for IE and gave a solution to us the System configuration tool to fix it or a reboot tool.

Try a re-install. IE has alot of control, and a couple of system crashes/hard reboots will make IE go buggy. If a reinstall of IE don't help, try a reinstall of Windows without formatting. This works for me.

Install IE 5.5 SP1, then download a program like ad-aware 4 by lavasoft from download.com and do a scan for spyware, they could be the culprit

I went to Microsoft's site to upgrade to 5.1 but could not find anything other than the full version of 5.5 so I dl that. Then I came here and saw that someone recommended for me to dl 5.5

Do I have now both full vesions of 5.0 and 5.5 on the machine or did it simply just recognise 5.0 and upgrade it. There is no need to have both, I dont think.
