I am flying into New York this weekend, or next weekend, whichever is cheaper

I found a one way ticket for 100$ from MSP to JFK ... Minneapolis to New York JFK air port, seems pretty reasonable.

I was looking at the world perks and curious if I should sign up, or is it a waste of time? How many 'miles' before I can get a free flight? I don't really get it and its not really explaining it very well!

This is through NWA.

usually 15-25K miles for the cheapest free ticket. Depends on how much you are going to fly, but I don't really see the harm in signing up for it. There are other ways to get miles too, depending on hotel stays, rental cars, credit cards, etc, etc..

that's a damn good deal, I fly DTW <-> LGA/EWR a lot, anything around 100 is great. Cheapest flight I've had was $88 round trip 🙂
