I am doing a fresh Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit install and would like to enable AHCI.

Do I need to install drivers or can I just enable AHCI on my motherboard and then install Windows? Please advise.

If you run into problems, put the Intel Matrix Raid drivers on a USB thumb drive, and hit F6 at the very beginning of Windows installation.
